Merchandise Returns

Galls / MPD Return Policy:

Galls and MPD have implemented the following return policy for all purchases made on the Galls MPD website. Please review this policy and contact williams-megan@galls.com if you have any specific questions about the policy.

Galls shall provide full credit as an adjustment to invoice to City of Madison on all returns that meet the following conditions: 

  • All unused merchandise
  • Merchandise is returned within thirty (30) calendar days of delivery
  • City of Madison Personnel obtain a valid Return Form from williams-megan@galls.com
  • Custom orders that are found to be defective, improperly sized, or not in accordance with specifications shall also be subject to full credit under this return provision

Please note that because of the return window of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of delivery, it is strongly recommended that you check your order immediately upon receipt -  even if you do not plan to use the items you received right away. This is to ensure there is not a sizing issue or a product defect that would require a return. Note that just because you have not used an item and it is still in its original packaging, return requests made outside of the thirty-day return window might not be honored.

 

Customized Uniform Items:

Please be aware that because of the customized nature of certain uniform items-such as MPD uniform shirts that have been modified with buttons, patches, service bars, zippers, etc., or uniform pants that are hemmed-these items are not eligible to be returned.  As long as your order is delivered to you per the specifications of your online order, these items are not eligible to be returned under the Galls / MPD Return Policy due to issues with sizing or because you simply do not wish to keep what you had ordered. Return requests of this nature will be reviewed on a case by case nature. If you have questions about your particular situation, please contact williams-megan@galls.com. Any uniform item that is shipped that is defective-even if it has been customized-can be exchanged under the No-Hassle Warranty Guarantee.


No-Hassle Warranty Guarantee:

Per the MPD contract with Galls, all purchases made from the Galls/MPD website will be covered by a 90-day No-Hassle Warranty Guarantee.  All garments and products shall be warranted against defects for a minimum of 90 days from the date of delivery.  If an item becomes defective within this 90-day period, please contact williams-megan@galls.com; the defective item will be replaced as an exchange.  If you have any specific questions, please contact williams-megan@galls.com.

 

Starting a Return Request:

If you wish to return an item that you purchased from the Galls/MPD website, you must first contact williams-megan@galls.com and provide your name, your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason for the return.  You will then be provided with a Return Form and a shipping label to return your product for a full refund.  Failure to contact williams-megan@galls.com to obtain the required Return Form can result in the loss of your return and the loss of funds from your uniform allowance.  Please note that the return credit will not be added to uniform allowance balances until the item has been received and inspected by Galls. Subsequent to Galls' receipt and inspection of the returned item, you will receive your return credit.  Once that credit is processed, you will receive an automated email confirming that your credit memo for the return has been processed.  Note that MPD personnel are ultimately responsible for taking care of their own returns; returns will no longer be processed through MPD Purchasing.

 

Starting an Exchange Request:

If you wish to exchange an item that was ordered or received incorrectly, you begin this process just as you would with any other return request-i.e., by contacting the MPD Contract Team at williams-megan@galls.com and providing your name, your order number, the item you wish to return, the reason for the return, and whether you would like to exchange the item and for which other item.  The MPD Contract Team will then review your request and process your exchange request by entering a replacement order for the correct item on your online account. Please note that the cost of the replacement item will be deducted from your allowance that same day.  In cases where the current uniform allowance balance will not cover the cost of the replacement, the exchange will not be processed immediately; instead, the request will be authorized as a return, the original item will be returned for full credit, and the officer will be responsible for ordering the replacement item if they wish to do so once the return credit has been added to their account. Again, please note that failure to contact williams-megan@galls.com to obtain the required Return Form can result in the loss of your return and the loss of funds from your allowance, and-in the case of the exchange-you would ultimately be charged for both the original item and for the replacement item if this procedure is not followed.
